If I had a beard like Julius von Bismarck, I think I would find it rather difficult to drink soup. Good thing I don't have a beard.

Stir-Crazy
Today I counted my blessings. I have some of the best friends in the entire universe. I seem to have contracted some sort of awful Summertime Influenza - coughing, hacking, sneezing, aches, The Works! Basically, I am miserable dripping snot inside my apartment while the sun shines and everyone else runs around outdoors.
So Fatema and Sofie visited me, bearing gifts of the DiBruno variety. I supplemented with a sourdough loaf and dipping oil. Good lord, it was amazing.
But afterward, I got re-inspired and made some mini-muffins. Here is what I put in them.
1/2 package firm tofu, crumbled
1 pkg chocolate baking chunks
1 3/4 cup flour
3/4 cup rolled oats
3/4 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup OJ, cut with 1/2 cup water
1/2 cup olive oil
1 tsp vanilla extract
1 tsp cinnamon
1 tsp baking powder
2 eggs
This sounds a little bit funny, but they came out really dense and delicious and full of proteins. I baked them at 350 degrees for 18 minutes.

typerspace.
The cover of print Magazine for July is a type sculpture by Karsten Schmidt. This is so sexy. I can't breathe.
Check out his Flickr for photos of the ENTIRE process. It's amazing. I could wed him.
Oh wait. He's taken. And he lives in London.
Oh wait. I doubt I could ever be romantically interested in another designer. Especially not another type nerd. Mostly because I suffer from this condition called RCBS (Raving Competitive Bitch Syndrome). I don't know if it's genetic.

Post Punk Rock Flea Market: I am a winner. I just sold mad underpants with this kid on them:
RJB likes riding in cars (with boys and girls). he is the Übermensch of drawing monsters and wearing winterwear. He is the dark night.
you cant see his eyes cause when he takes off his
glasses his pupils shoot a deadly mixture of pellets of beer and pop rocks at you.
the hood is kind of like a Yamaka. If sunlight touches his skull his brain spontaneously combusts into a huge green mushroom cloud.

Despite the humidity this time of year, i need to wake up early in the morning to feed the chicken. the chicken came mail order from the internet -- a website called "chick-a-d." She was a cute little chick all fluffy and powder yellow. and she wasn't too dehydrated from her plane ride. That was a few weeks ago. We named her A'Broad. After her great aunt: Chickas. She likes sunflower seeds and flax seeds...which I grind up with a mortar and pestal with a little bit of water before regurgitating it into her mouth. its a process but worth it, after she burps a little.

Be MORE at BlogWorld.
Finding this site makes me think about quitting my day job while I'm (not) ahead.
Then I remember that The Internet isn't so silly after all, and allows folks to keep in touch when they can't all fly to Vegas and hang out poolside.
Welcome To Our Internet House!
Wendy, Fatema, Robin, and Sofie live at sum condiments. We come from Hong Kong and Philadelphia and New York and New Jersey and lots of other places in between, depending on the day. We make prints, products, paintings, photos, and stories. We also make mistakes. And here at sum condiments is where The Joy and The Pain and The Fake Babies and The Baby Chickens live. Welcome! Come on in.
